The Punk and the Princess Radio Show

The Punk and the Princess Radio Show is presented by Daniel Hunt “The Punk” and Mika Mamon “The Princess”.

Mika is an accomplished, multi-award winning singer-songwriter originally from Iloilo City in the Philippines, who moved to the UK in 2009. Her performances have been described as a mix of Kylie Minogue, Bjork and Madonna. She has been a DJ for Kiss FM and is a full-time frontline nurse who has written songs about her experience in an intensive treatment unit during the pandemic which received worldwide attention and amassed over half a million plays. Daniel is of German/English descent but has family in the USA, South Africa and New Zeland. He has been a musician for many years but never quite made the big time, although he has played many festivals and tours supporting bands like Oasis, The Pogues and The Killers. He has been an FM presenter for Radio North Tees in the UK and has DJ’d at many functions, festivals and clubs over the years. He is also Mika’s co-writer and producer. By profession, he commissions mental health services across the North of England.

Daniel and Mika formed the radio show initially as something of a one-off podcast but immediately got the bug and, one month on, became syndicated across the globe. This is their first radio show together; full of fun, random stupidity and a great mix of music from established and emerging artists. Enjoy!
